Both tapes prevent shoes or socks from rubbing directly against the skin. Zinc oxide tape feels softer and more comfortable to wear. However, it is not waterproof and can only be used for 1 day.

For more lasting results, use kinsiology tape on the top of your zinc oxide tape application to make the tape waterproof. Zinc oxide tape can only be used for 1 day, while kinsiology tape is waterproof and can be used on feet and ankles for more than 3 days.
