When the Kinesiology Sport tape is applied to your body, it will rebound slightly and lift your skin gently. This is believed to help create a micro space between your skin and the tissue below it.
Create space in joints of Kinesiology Sport tape
A small study of 52 participants showed that when  kinesiology Sport tape was applied to the knee, kinesiology Sport tape  increased the space of the knee joint. A similar study showed that motor tape also increased shoulder space. Although the added space is small, Kinesiology Sport tape helps to reduce the chance of joint stimulation.
